1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CarVetter (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by StudioB Apps LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Description of Service

CarVetter provides informational reports about used vehicles based on known reliability patterns, historical data, and AI-generated analysis. Reports are intended to help consumers make more informed used car purchasing decisions.

3. Informational Purpose Only — Not Professional Advice

CarVetter reports are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional mechanical, financial, or legal advice. Reports are based on general reliability patterns and AI analysis — they are not a substitute for a physical inspection by a qualified mechanic.

We strongly recommend obtaining a pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic before purchasing any used vehicle, regardless of the CarVetter report outcome. CarVetter reports do not guarantee the condition, reliability, or value of any specific vehicle.

While the Service factors in mileage and asking price to provide a generalized assessment, these are inputs to a statistical model and do not account for the specific maintenance history, driving conditions, accident history, or hidden damage of any individual vehicle.

CarVetter utilizes generative artificial intelligence to produce reports. In accordance with the Utah Artificial Intelligence Policy Act, we disclose that AI-generated content is a fundamental component of the Service. Generative AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated information — sometimes called “hallucinations.” You acknowledge this limitation and agree to verify all report data independently before making any purchase decision.

4. Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of our reports, but we do not warrant that reports are complete, accurate, current, or free from errors. Vehicle reliability patterns change over time, and individual vehicles may vary significantly from general patterns. You use CarVetter reports at your own risk.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service and create an account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

6. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Payments and Report Packs

Report packs are purchased in advance and never expire. Each report you generate deducts one report from your balance. All purchases are final — we do not offer refunds on report packs once reports have been used. If you have unused reports in a pack and believe there is an error, contact us at support@carvetter.com.

In the event of a technical error where a report fails to generate or contains significant data discrepancies due to a system malfunction, our sole obligation is to provide a replacement report credit to your account. This replacement credit, rather than a monetary refund, constitutes our complete remedy for such errors.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent payment or report limits
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute report content commercially
  • Use automated tools to generate reports in bulk
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service

9. Intellectual Property

The CarVetter service, including its design, content, and underlying technology, is owned by StudioB Apps LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Reports generated for you are for your personal use only and may not be resold or redistributed.

StudioB Apps LLC retains all rights to the underlying reliability data patterns, prompt engineering, and analytical frameworks used to generate reports. Reports produced for you are licensed for your personal use only and do not transfer any rights to the underlying systems or methodologies.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, StudioB Apps LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY REPORT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSSES RELATED TO VEHICLE PURCHASES MADE IN WHOLE OR IN PART ON THE BASIS OF A CARVETTER REPORT.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We are not responsible for service interruptions, degraded output quality, or report failures caused by third-party AI model providers, API unavailability, or infrastructure outages outside our control.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider in Salt Lake City, Utah, rather than in court. By using the Service, you waive your right to a jury trial and your right to participate in a class action lawsuit.

This arbitration clause does not prevent you from bringing an individual claim in small claims court if your claim qualifies.

For any dispute, you must first contact us at support@carvetter.com and allow 30 days for us to attempt resolution before initiating arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
